Crosspoint Alliance Church is a North Carolina-based church replant, with around 30 members–kids and youth included.
Though the church officially replanted in June of 2022, they’ve been in ministry for over 17 years…meaning they’ve had plenty of time to try out church software solutions.
“What we've found with church systems is that generally speaking, they're not one size fits all,” explains Revered Drew Strecker, the lead pastor at Crosspoint Alliance. “You decide which pieces you need the most and you find a system that will serve those pieces of ministry.”
“But it’s not easy to find something that covers all the bases,” Drew continues.
That’s where Tithe.ly comes in. Crosspoint Alliance is using the full suite of Tithe.ly products to help them relaunch their church, clarify communication, and build a much-needed online presence.
Let’s take a look at how it’s going so far.
Many church software solutions offer a decent experience for church administrators. But they overlook one key component: a helpful, enjoyable user experience for church members.
“One of the places we ran into trouble before with previous church systems was that they are built for the church administration and not for the church participant or member,” says Drew.
“I appreciate that Tithe.ly is also built for church members,” he continues.
One reason that Tithe.ly offers a smooth experience for church members is that it’s easy to use, and brings together all applications under one “roof.”
“It’s simple and integrated,” explains Drew.
In other words, church members don’t have to log in to multiple applications to access information about events, volunteering, and small groups. That applies to the church admin experience as well–representing a big shift from Planning Center.
“The last thing we were using was Planning Center, and it was just too cumbersome,” says Drew. “They have multiple apps online, whereas with Tithe.ly, I can just go into one app and access what I need to.”
“It makes it simpler to have everything in one place.”
According to Drew, Crosspoint Alliance has used 5+ other church software solutions. How does Tithe.ly stack up so far?
“From the get-go, Tithe.ly has been a better experience than what we’ve seen with other systems,” says Drew.
“The biggest indicator of that has been the customer service,” he continues.
Tithe.ly’s commitment to fast and efficient support has made a big impact on Drew and his team.
“You guys are really quick to respond and to deal with any issues,” says Drew. “I'll send an email and get a response within 24 hours or less.”
Fast and efficient support makes the overall experience that much better. “I’ve really appreciated that aspect of Tithe.ly,” says Drew.
One of the core reasons Crosspoint Alliance Church wanted a new church software system was to create a better channel of communication with its church members.
“We wanted to give people access to information they need,” says Drew. “They should have something that they can go back to and say, Oh yeah, I know what's going on.”
“The app experience has been phenomenal,” says Drew. “It’s so versatile and looks great…it’s a significant improvement over what we had previously.”
And the website?
“With our previous website, you had to build it on the backend and then go see what it looks like. It’s a lot of work,” explains Drew. “But building a site with Tithe.ly allows us to ‘drag and drop’ and adjust what it looks like in the actual site. That’s huge.”
Tithe.ly has made it simple for Crosspoint Alliance Church to build an online and mobile-friendly presence for its members…ultimately helping them to reach their goal of connecting more with members and getting the right information in their hands at the right time.
Replanting a church is no simple task. But Tithe.ly has made the process easier on everybody at Crosspoint Alliance.
“Tithe.ly is making life easier for my leaders. It's making life easier for me. It's making life easier for the church,” says Drew. “I’m excited about what using Tithe.ly will mean for us in the future.”
