“So don’t ever be afraid, dearest friends! Your loving Father joyously gives you his kingdom realm with all its promises!" —Luke 12:32 (TPT)

“God has not called us to do what seems possible, reasonable or normally attainable; He has called us to do the impossible. He wants us to stretch beyond our ability, our faith and our capacity to reason. He wants us to do more than we could ever imagine or dream. If you are reading this and think that your call is attainable, it's time for an upgrade. We are not supposed to be doing what is possible. We're supposed to be doing what is impossible and outrageous. To accomplish our calling, we must put our hand in the hand of God, learning to be completely dependent on the Holy Spirit for everything.” —Graham Cooke

The Creation of Man: A Heavenly and Earthly Union

In the beginning, as described in Genesis: “Man was literally made to be a physical expression of the invisible God. The very life and Spirit of God was breathed into man, made in the image of God, and man’s body was made of the earth. Heavenly and earthly substances came together to create a god-man to rule and reign over the earth and enjoy God and His creation.” – Bryan Elliott, As in Heaven

Though God is sovereign over all, He delegated authority over the earth to man (See Genesis 1:26 and Psalm 115:16). We all know what happened next—man fell, and with that fall, sin entered the world and much was lost. This one event changed the course of history and drastically altered the relationship between man and God.

But 2,000 years ago, Jesus, God’s Son and the promised Messiah, came with the most incredible news ever—the hope-filled gospel of the kingdom of God to restore what was lost the day of the fall. Jesus started His ministry with the words from Mark 1:15 (TPT): “The time is fulfilled, and the realm of God’s kingdom is at hand! Repent and believe the good news!” And with each miracle he performed, parable he told, and ultimately, through His death and resurrection on the cross, Jesus physically embodied the good news that death is defeated and the kingdom has come.

As Colossians 3:3-4 (TPT) tells us, "Your crucifixion with Christ has severed the tie to this life, and now your true life is hidden away in God in Christ. And as Christ himself is seen for who he really is, who you really are will also be revealed, for you are now one with him in his glory!" This is the good news of our union with Christ. Sin has been dethroned! Death defeated! For sins wages were death, but God’s gift is eternal life in our union with Him.

By Faith Alone

"For God made the only one who did not know sin to become sin for us, so that we might become the righteousness of God through our union with him." —2 Corinthians 5:21 (TPT)

Through faith and by grace alone, we receive the righteousness of Christ and are made one with Him. Our works can never achieve righteousness or unity with Jesus, no matter how hard we try.

Counter to the truth of our unity with Christ through faith, the religious spirit spreads a false gospel of separation. The religious spirit uses laws to replace relationship, or a heart not yielded and connected to God. It promotes an orphan mindset that is self-focused or self-reliant, rather than reminding us that we are sons and daughters of God (who are primarily God-focused, and therefore, other-focused).

The truth is that once you receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior and submit your life to Him, God sees you as holy and flawless now because of the finished work of Jesus—it is finished. This is who you really are!

Holy and Set Apart

To be holy is to be set apart and to be absolutely devoted to God in all that we do. We are made holy by the Holy Spirit. God’s grace allows us to live a life that glorifies Him! It is grace that empowers us to do what pleases God!

"So now the case is closed. There remains no accusing voice of condemnation against those who are joined in life-union with Jesus, the Anointed One. For the 'law' of the Spirit of life flowing through the anointing of Jesus has liberated us from the 'law' of sin and death. For God achieved what the law was unable to accomplish, because the law was limited by the weakness of human nature." —Romans 8:1-3 (TPT)

By faith, every barrier between heaven and earth is removed, and our position on earth is eternally restored. In Christ, we have everything we need for life and godliness. In Christ, we have access to everything in the kingdom!

"But now, how much more are we held in the grip of grace and continue reigning as kings in life, enjoying our regal freedom through the gift of perfect righteousness in the one and only Jesus, the Messiah!" —Romans 5:17 (TPT)

Just think about it, it is worth repeating—Jesus sees each and every one of you as holy, flawless, and restored to innocence eternally. His righteousness is now yours. Our heavenly Father has the same love for you as He has for Jesus! What a blessing!
