Inside Tithe.ly: Addie Anaya, Director of Customer Support

Hi, all. 

I’m pumped to introduce you Adaline (Addie) Anaya. 

Addie and her team are relentlessly dedicated to meeting the needs of our customers. They spend countless hours throughout the week to ensure our customers are taken care of.

Here’s one thing I appreciate about Addie:

The encourager you see (or hear) is what you get. 

She is ALWAYS full of life and ready to help. 

Know what else? 

Addie was a harp performance major in college, and she would have never imagined herself working at a tech company. 

I recently asked Addie a few questions to get to know her better. Let’s take a look!

Q: How did you hear about/get started at Tithe.ly and what’s the best part about your job?

A: I initially found Tithe.ly on AngelList. After I read about what they do, I knew it was a place I wanted to work, and I applied for their Support Manager role. 

The best part about my job is the amazing people on my team.

Q: What does a typical day at Tithe.ly look like for you?

A: It looks like working to make our customers’ experience as great as it possibly can be! This includes a lot of cross-departmental and inter-departmental communication.

Q: What’s your favorite story of how Tithe.ly has served a church?

A: There's not a specific one for me. Overall it's the small daily things that I see our team do to make churches’ lives better and easier!

Q: What’s the biggest lesson you’ve learned at Tithe.ly?

A: That communication is 100% key. Customers are more understanding when you communicate, and when working with a remote team, communication is the most important thing you have!

Q: How did you become a Christian?

A: I was born and raised in the church, but when I was 19 I had a very spiritual experience with God and fully committed myself to him then.

Q: If you could give your 18-year-old self a piece of advice, what would it be?

A: You can't imagine where God will take you, so grow and realize that it only gets better.

Q: What’s your definition of success?

A: Living daily with a vision that extends past my own personal needs and wants.

Q: Time for a few favorites. What’s your favorite movie trilogy? Board game? Book?

A: Lord of the Rings, CodeNames, and Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by J. K. Rowling

Q: What are the top 5 songs on your personal Spotify playlist? (No fibbing)

A: “Archer” by Taylor Swift; “Truth Hurts” by Lizzo; “The Next Best American Record” by Lana del Rey; “Lost Boy” by The Midnight; “When the Party’s Over” by Billie Eilish

Q: What Bible verse has helped you through tough times?

A: Psalm 91: “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the Lord, ‘My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust …’ ” (ESV).
